Flow is dedicated to serving the middle market sector, an area often neglected by traditional wholesalers. Most agents are well-versed in placing common lines of business directly, such as general liability, workers' compensation, and property insurance. However, regarding specialty lines, agents rely on wholesale partners with the necessary expertise and market access. Traditional wholesalers excel with large enterprise accounts but often ignore the mid-market and smaller commercial policies due to profitability concerns. Flow’s efficient processing allows us to lower the profitability threshold, making it worthwhile to provide high-quality service and insights even for smaller placements.

Leveraging Technology & Human Expertise

Flow addresses this by interacting with agents via email—the “easy button”—to avoid the dreaded "portal fatigue." With our network of 50 carriers, we can meet carrier partners where they are. Whether they prefer submissions via API, portal, or email—we accommodate their needs. Our goal is to provide the best options for our clients without limiting choices based on the carrier’s technological capabilities. This flexibility enables us to maintain high quote-to-bind ratios and build strong, productive relationships with our carrier partners.

Our recent rebranding from Capitola to Flow embodies our commitment to movement and dynamism in the insurance space. The term "Flow" signifies a state of optimal performance and happiness, where professionals can thrive without the tedium of manual processes and avoid burnout. Our vision is to create an environment where insurance professionals feel fulfilled, efficient, and inspired to keep climbing.
